Introduction

My name is Katelyn Wierenga and I am the CEO and Co-Founder of House of Healing Counseling and Consulting. I am a Licensed Clinician Social Worker who enjoys working with individuals struggling with Anxiety, Depression and/or Trauma Experiences. I am trained and utilize a number of trauma informed interventions including, but not limited to; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Sand Tray Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I am additionally trained in the use of EMDR with Attachment and Disassociation in Children and Adolescents. At this time, psychotherapy is only available through the telehealth platform to individuals 16 years and older in the Maricopa County area, but will be explored as new community needs are identified. House of Healing additionally offers consulting services for behavioral health program development such as outpatient services, residential treatment centers and other mental health entities.
