Hi, I'm Katelyn! I'm a University of Michigan trained social worker who has provided individual and group therapy, case management, survivor advocacy services, and Title IX advising since 2016. I am licensed to see clients in IL, TX, and D.C. I have expertise in supporting survivors of interpersonal violence such as sexual abuse, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, and sexual harassment, as well as in addressing sexual health concerns from a sex- and kink-positive perspective. I also have years of experience working with the LGBTQ+ community around sexual health, identity exploration, trauma, stress, and relationships. Other clinical interests of mine include neurodivergence, chronic illness, and disability; religious trauma and spiritual abuse; eating and body image concerns; harm reduction approaches to substance use; and supporting students, artists, activists, and those working in helping professions. In our time together, I will partner with you to meet your goals, as defined by you, and to honor your unique strengths. I want to help you develop insight into your emotions and relationships, clarify your values, situate your experiences within larger patterns and contexts, and cultivate the skills to center your life around what helps you feel most authentic and free. My style is humble and non-judgmental, and I approach the work with flexibility, curiosity, creativity, and humor. The therapeutic relationship is a key component of my approach, and we will use it as a tool to experiment with what radical possibilities open up for you when all parts of yourself are welcomed and explored.
