Introduction

Kate is a warm, experienced, and knowledgeable psychotherapist, who specializes in providing virtual and in-person therapy to adult and adolescent clients. Kate works with individuals experiencing a wide variety of concerns, including: depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation/self-harm, family conflict, low self-esteem, issues of faith and spirituality, substance abuse, as well as eating disorders. She believes that change occurs within a trust-filled therapeutic relationship, as personal insight is gained, and self-compassion is experienced. Kate earned a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, from Holy Names University, in Oakland, California, and she is licensed in California, Kansas, and Missouri. She has worked in mental health programs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, including outpatient clinics, on-campus mental health organizations, as well as intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization programs. Kate is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, the International Association of Trauma Professionals, and Psi Chi (International Honors society in Psychology).
