I’m so happy you’re here! I understand you’re here because you’re ready for support as you are going through a rough patch or because you are ready to make significant changes to improve your inner life, practical life, work, relationships, family structure or family dynamic. I recommend therapy and coaching as a professional and as an alumnae. My life is fuller and richer because I went for coaching or therapy at a couple of crucial times. I’m a real human being who knows what it is like to want change and to benefit from help getting there. While my approach is eclectic, I use evidence-based methods in a mix tailored to what works for you. I like to say that if just talking about it hasn’t worked, and just doing it hasn’t worked, then we need the fully embodied approach. After all, that is how we were born to learn. We learn most easily with curiosity, clear feedback, playfulness, practice in action and clarity of direction. When, at 16, my babysitting clients asked to pay me for a consultation regarding their children, I had no idea that I would eventually be specializing in similar work. I just loved working with kids! I still do - I love the growing and changing that is so dynamic in kids. It turns out that is what I love in working with adults also- the growing and changing! I've been focused on change in adults since 2003 when I earned my Master Somatic Coach credential from Strozzi Institute. Teachers there inspired, coached and mentored well. I am deeply grateful for that learning. I am also grateful for the learning as I earned my degrees: a Bachelor’s from CIIS in Integral Studies and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Palo Alto University, a school that embodied inclusivity and the balance of generosity of spirit with academic rigor and integrity. I’ve worked with wonderful colleagues and mentors in various offices, including East Bay Center for Anxiety in Alameda and with Ann Mason in San Mateo. I’m always learning and am currently engrossed in further exploration of paradigm shifts, family dynamics, attachment, and child development. In my free time I’m reading, walking, and hanging out with dogs and people.
