Kate is a licensed professional therapist in the state of New Jersey. She is trained at the graduate level with degrees in Psychology and Clinical and Counseling Psychology. She also has concentrations in Behavioral Neuroscience and Child/Adolescent Counseling. Kate has worked with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) since her undergraduate internships in the Intense Emotional and Behavioral Department. During her graduate program, she continued to work at CHOP as a research assistant in the Eating Disorder Lab while also seeing adolescents and their families in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Kate has received specialized training in Family Based Treatment (FBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Remediation Therapy (CRT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Kate is currently working as a family therapist at CHOP in their "Shifting Perspectives" clinical trial for Anorexia Nervosa. In addition to Kate's working with eating disorders, she has received immense training in play therapy techniques. Kate has been working as an in-home clinician for the last 4 years, focusing on attachment work, physical and sexual trauma, and helping families who are fostering or in the process of adoption.
