Kate is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and has been in the behavioral health field since 2011. Kate began her career in community mental health working with families doing in-home therapy. She worked with community stakeholders and developed a foundation of family systems work. She then transitioned into leadership and was a clinical manager of a juvenile justice and intensive adolescent team. Kate enjoyed developing new therapists and growing clinical programs. She also has experience working in crisis services and providing crisis interventions at a walk-in center. Now, Kate works with clients in her private practice with hopes to see lasting change happen. One area of focus for Kate is maternal mental health. This can include women experiencing depression or anxiety related to pregnancy or the postpartum period, grief from pregnancy loss or infertility, disappointment that motherhood isn’t what was expected and stress or burnout from motherhood. The journey to motherhood and motherhood itself can be isolating and lonely. Kate has advanced training in perinatal mood disorders. Another area of focus is drug and alcohol addiction. I enjoy helping you find the underlying root of addiction and will help you move towards the life you want to be living. Kate’s objective in your sessions together is to give you a safe space where you will be heard and work towards your goals. You deserve to be the best person you can be. You may need a chance to focus on yourself and your own wellbeing. The good news is that you can start to feel like yourself again and find a path forward. Kate offers services in-person in Wheat Ridge and online via telehealth to individuals located in Colorado.
