I am currently carrying a waitlist and might be taking clients in 2 or 3 weeks. If you feel you are a good fit, give me a call! I have been working in the human services field for over 30 years, including some time in the hospice field. As an attachment theorist, my work fundamentally points to the fact that our relationships matter, and they matter from the very beginning. How we regulate ourselves as individuals is first learned (or not learned so well) from our primary caregivers and our need for co-regulation never really stops. In treatment, my clients learn how to co-regulate and we talk about the difference between *reacting* to a situation rather than *responding* to adverse experiences in life. We identify methods of resiliency and resources to move toward more optimal patterns that serve well-being and happiness. I have studied Interpersonal Neurobiology extensively, have training in the Gottman Method, and frequently use Internal Family System (IFS) techniques in treatment: IFS is a non pathologizing approach--all parts are welcome to the table toward integration and wellness.
