I have earned a Medical Assistant certificate, a bachelors degree in Sociology with a minor in Gerontology, a Masters degree in Education with a concentration in Curriculum & Instruction. I have another Masters degree in Social Work with a concentration in Gerontology. I have been a social worker for 9 years. As a social worker, I have worked as an addictions counselor in a primary and secondary treatment facility, in a short and long term skilled nursing facility and as a medical social worker in dialysis. At present, I work as a School Social Worker, and as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker assessing, diagnosing, treating and providing on going support. I am also a Qualified Social Worker Supervisor and a Home Study Practitioner. I have experience working with a diverse group of clients ranging in age from 3 to 99. I treat most mental health diagnosis using evidenced based interventions, strategies and homework. I provide some case management and will refer clients to community agencies based on the need. On another note: I'm also the mother of 3 adult children, with 2 grandchildren and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Spencer Kairo.
