Introduction

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, teens, and families struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, behavioral issues, mood disorders, daily life stressors, self-esteem, identity development and self-concept issues. Additionally, I enjoy working with young adults seeking self-improvement, meandering through their twenties and thirties. I am finishing up training to become a Registered Play Therapist and I incorporate those techniques in my current practice. I utilize a Cognitive-Behavioral approach with a client-centered focus to embrace the therapeutic relationship with clients. I have a big fluffy dog named Maslow, he has a Therapy Dog title through AKC. I have completed Level 1 Training in Animal Assisted Play Therapy and utilize those skills and theoretical framework under supervision. Please let me know if you are interested in having Maslow as part of your treatment. I strive to foster a sense of safety and genuineness within the counseling relationship and the space. I believe in a strong mind-body connection within the individual and work to find healing through a holistic lens. I value a collaborative approach to creating goals and offer stepping stones to support the journey. When I am not working you will find me with my partner and two bonus kiddos! I find peace outside through running, walking the dogs, or Yoga! I love the sunshine, good conversation and encourage the people around me to live your truth.
