I grew up in South Africa, where I completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology, an Honors Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master's degree in Environment and Development Studies. I worked as a project manager in non-profit rural development, as a Research Executive in a large research company, and as a college lecturer before moving to the US. I graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2006 with my Masters in Human Development and Family Studies. My Thesis was entitled "Reliability and Predictive Validity of the SCDT Questioning Strategies and Classification System". I have worked in outpatient community mental health in New Haven CT, in Private Practice, and as the Clinical Director of EMDR HAP, before moving to Vermont in 2017. Outside of my therapy practice and EMDR Training role, I enjoy sharing time and laughter with my wife, kids, dogs and broader family. I love to cycle (road, gravel, mountain and fatbike), listen to music, travel, and drink a good strong cup of tea.
