Introduction

Currently based at Hope Counseling Center in Santa Barbara, CA, I provide an empathetic and nonjudgmental environment that supports healing, growth, and empowerment. After receiving her MA in Counseling, MFT/PCC at Saint Mary's College of California, Karis has been practicing therapy in high school, college, and residential settings, serving clients with a variety of mental health concerns. The role of a therapist can be both a resource and a witness as you discover what needs tending. My approach to psychotherapy is to compassionately attune to you and hold space as you access greater insight, mindful self-compassion, and tap into your own resilience. I use an integrative approach, tailoring our experience to your needs through a variety of modalities.
