Hello and welcome! I'm Karen Jasso, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting individuals and families on their journey towards healing and growth. Graduating from the Counseling Psychology Program at California State University, Bakersfield, I've since gained valuable experience through my internship and experience in community mental health as a crisis therapist working with adults, dual diagnosis, substance use and high risk behaviors; and working with children and teens using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. My specialization encompasses anxiety, depression, trauma, and self-esteem issues. This tailored approach allows me to address unique challenges that arise during the formative years, supporting young individuals in developing crucial skills for a resilient and fulfilling life. I create a safe and empathetic space for exploration, employing client-centered and evidenced based strategies to meet individual needs. My goal is to empower clients with practical tools and insights, facilitating positive transformations and fostering lasting well-being. I believe in infusing sessions with positivity and creativity, creating an atmosphere where clients feel not just heard but also inspired. However, I also recognize the importance of acknowledging and addressing the challenges, adopting a realistic and pragmatic stance when needed. This balanced approach allows me to tailor the therapeutic experience, ensuring that we explore both the bright moments and navigate through the complexities. I'm here to guide you with compassion, understanding. I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you on your journey towards growth and well-being.
