Karen graduated from Liberty University with a Master of Arts in Counseling. She has been certified by the Association of Biblical Counselors (formerly NANC) since 1992. She is also certified by the International Association of Biblical Counselors. While living in Minnesota, Karen operated a counseling center, serving over 20 churches. Karen counseled for many years at the Biblical Counseling Center and has recently returned to BCC. Karen compassionately walks alongside those who are hurting and helps them to find hope in God and His Word. Karen lost her husband when her daughter was young. Although she has remarried, she has a special place in her heart for ministering to widows. Some of the issues she counsels include anxiety, anger, grief, marriage and family issues, conflict resolution, struggles with eating, and depression.
