The decision to begin therapy can be a difficult. You've already overcome the first hurdle by looking for help. My goal is to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere where individuals can engage in exploration that leads to growth and positive change. I do this by incorporating a laid back style with the philosophy that therapy cannot be one size fits all and needs to be tailored to each individual client. It's then clients will be able to discover what impacts their lives, learn to understand their emotions and develop a new found sense of self awareness. Born and raised in Northeastern PA., I received my undergraduate degree, a B.A. in Psychology from King's College. After moving to Virginia as a militarily transplant, I completed my journey by receiving my M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Virginia board approved supervisor for Residents in Counseling. I have been working in private practice since completing my degree. Prior to private practice, I spent almost 10 years working in a non-profit focusing on families and individuals at risk of homelessness, helping them gain emotional and financial stability during traumatic and life changing times. As the spouse of a veteran, I can relate to the challenges military life places on families.
