Connection and intimacy are at the core of the human experience. We humans have a biological need for love and affection. Whether you are experiencing relational conflict, desire discrepancy, or find yourself living in shame or guilt, we can help you to live intimately and securely connected to yourself and others. I use an eclectic therapeutic approach. I recognize that one style of therapy may not fit with every person so I like to tailor treatment to the person. Some of the modalities that I use are Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, Hypnotherapy, family systems, and existentialism, among others. I focus on the mind-body connection to help align clients’ thoughts, feelings, and attitudes to positively affect their biological functioning. I believe that all behavior makes sense in context and that my role as a therapist is to be a mirror to clients as they heal and make sense of their story. I also believe that emotions are the key to identity. We change when we experience things emotionally. So that’s what we are looking for in our sessions. I have found that this leads to long-term, sustainable, heartfelt change and connection to help clients find a deep understanding of themselves and their partners. My heart’s desire is to create a warm, compassionate, and safe space for clients while on their journey to becoming their most holistic and authentic selves.
