Introduction

Hello, my name is Kalyn Murphy. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Kansas. I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families learn how to cope, process, and grow in their unique way. I believe in working with my clients to create a treatment plan that works for them while being evidence-based to help them accomplish their goals. My passion is for working with veterans and military families, as I am a military brat, myself. I learned how hard it was during the different transitions for my family, and how to be resilient. I have been trained in evidence-based practices that help families process and adapt to the transitions that come with their life while staying connected. I have extensive training and experience in assisting clients in learning how trauma impacts an individual's lived experience while also processing and accepting their trauma, to move from surviving to thriving in their lives. I value creating a safe and accepting space for anyone to explore their gender identity and sexuality. I have experience helping individuals and families in the LGBTQIA+ community process their new everyday life as they explore how to be authentically themselves.
