Kalyn uses a whole person, embodied approach to therapy from a trauma, attachment, and narrative perspective. Kalyn truly believes that healing happens in the context of relationships where connection, curiosity, and play abound. She seeks to cultivate a space for her clients to be seen and to feel safe, as they honestly examine their own stories and name the patterns and harm that keep them stuck. It is in this place that we become more human, more ourselves, more whole, more free to love and to long. Kalyn is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. She received her Masters degree from Wheaton College in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2015. Kalyn has wide range of experience in both private practice and community mental health. Prior to that, Kalyn worked as direct care staff at a residential home for teenagers. In her freetime, Kalyn takes play seriously. She enjoys being outdoors and exploring both near and far. She takes pride in being the self-proclaimed “best aunt ever” to her 7 nieces and nephews. She has a Golden Retriever named Nakia that she hopes will one day be a therapy dog.
