I’ve always been really driven to help people become better versions of themselves and live the lives they want. Throughout my journey, I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. I’ve also taken additional training along the way in cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, two evidence-based approaches that I commonly use that have been found to be very effective in treating many of the concerns that bring people to therapy. Genuine connection and helping others are two core values that really shape my approach to care; they are at the very core of my work with clients. I truly believe it paves the way for healing and transformation when we can feel safe enough to let our guard down and allow another human being to truly see us without the fear of judgment. In the words of Dr. Diane Poole Heller, "We are hurt in relationship and we heal in relationship." My approach to therapy is to be your ally; I can help you recognize the patterns in your life that are keeping you stuck and, together, we can find ways to shift those patterns. I know that you have the fortitude and strength to make big changes in your life that will lead to incredible transformation; the process of therapy can be an amazing catalyst for growth and change.
