As beautiful and wonderful as my life is now…This wasn’t always the case. I experienced devastating loss after losing my mother to Cancer at the tender age of 16 and became a mother myself just prior to my 18th birthday. And that's not it, I've lost jobs, money, relationships and went through disappointment from unmet expectations from people. I lost myself....and I didn't know who I was outside of being a mother, a employee, a college student and caretaker for several family members. I was emotionally drained, overwhelmed and confused about where my life was going. My personal journey of healing consisted of personal development books and workshops. clinical therapy, supportive friends, and, later, clinical training in how to effectively process and handle emotional distress.
