Are you working through your “unlearning” journey: recovering from poor body-image, dysfunctional family dynamics, religious trauma, or societal stigmas against personal uniqueness? I would be honored to guide you through this journey by working with your whole self, using person-centered therapy and somatic techniques – connecting the body and mind. We will spend time meeting your specific needs. This might involve identifying themes and patterns in family history, visiting your inner child, reframing harmful thoughts, and affirming your identity. We may use journaling, genograms, breathwork, visualization, and body awareness throughout the session. I center my work in radical authenticity, anti-racism, Health At Every Size (HAES) and unconditional positive regard. I look forward to building our counselor-client relationship through trusting in the therapeutic process.
