Hello and welcome! I’m Kaelin Farmer, a licensed mental health counselor with a over a decade of experience working in community mental health with underserved populations. I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma as well as providing gender-affirming therapy that respects and supports your identity. Whether you’re navigating the effects of past trauma, struggling with anxiety or depression, or seeking support on your gender journey, I am here to help you find healing, growth, and empowerment. Approach: I provide a safe and inclusive space for individuals of all gender identities. I offer an affirming, non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe to be your authentic self. I work from a trauma-informed perspective, which means that I prioritize your emotional and physical safety in our sessions. My approach integrates evidence-based techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), IFS (Internal Family Systems), mindfulness practices, and somatic therapies to help you process and heal from past experiences. Together, we’ll work through any emotional blockages while empowering you to build resilience, strengthen coping mechanisms, and create meaningful change in your life. What to Expect: In our work together, you’ll find a supportive, collaborative space where your experiences, emotions, and identity are honored. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, or complex trauma, I will help you understand how your past experiences may be influencing your present, and we’ll work together to create strategies for healing. I Work With: Individuals healing from trauma, including PTSD, childhood trauma, and abuse People seeking gender-affirming support, including those navigating gender exploration, transition, and self-discovery Individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, or emotional dysregulation People struggling with relationship issues, self-esteem, and identity Clients looking to build self-acceptance and resilience in the face of societal challenges Why Work With Me?: I’m passionate about creating a space where you can feel seen, heard, and respected. I bring both a trauma-informed approach and a deep commitment to inclusivity. I am here to help you find clarity and peace, whether you're working on overcoming specific challenges or gaining a deeper understanding of yourself. I believe in meeting you where you are and guiding you toward the tools you need to be the best version of yourself. Change (even good change) can feel overwhelming, but it’s important to remember that you don’t have to go through it alone. If you’re ready to start your journey or if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you on your path to healing.
