I’m Kaeli Harwood (they/she), a licensed clinical social worker with a strong commitment to an anti-oppressive, intersectional lens. I specialize in trauma therapy, utilizing EMDR and other somatic and experiential approaches. My goal is to create a space where individuals can access their body’s natural healing process, especially for those who haven’t found traditional talk therapy effective. Together, we’ll focus on expanding your internal resources and skills, processing emotions held in the body, and establishing a sense of peace and rootedness. Sessions in ASL are welcomed! Life has pointed edges. Whether you’ve experienced a life-shattering trauma or the daily impact of living in an ableist, racist, and heteronormative society, it can feel overwhelming to navigate this pain alone. As a fifth-generation hearing member of a Deaf family, I understand the complexities of intergenerational legacies—the good and the painful. As a queer, trans nonbinary, neurodivergent person, I am familiar with the trauma that can come from holding marginalized identities. I’ve worked with the LGBTQIA2S+ community for over eight years and have trained in body-based modalities, helping clients feel less burdened by the past and more grounded in safety and comfort. I also offer ADHD coaching for those with suspected or diagnosed ADHD. Together, we’ll work on practical skills and provide accountability to tackle challenges like procrastination, disorganization, rejection sensitivity, depression, and anxiety. I provide individual therapy sessions for adults only. All new clients begin with a free 15-minute consultation, where we’ll collaborate to create a custom plan to meet your goals. Starting with a new therapist can be a significant and sometimes daunting step, whether you’re new to therapy or not. I am honored to walk alongside you on your path of healing and transformation. After our initial consultation and treatment planning, we’ll meet weekly or biweekly for teletherapy sessions, and we may supplement with shorter check-ins as needed. Sliding scale rates are available for individuals from historically marginalized identities, including considerations of socioeconomic place, race, immigration status, ability, and sexual and gender identity. As a white, hearing, queer, first-generation college graduate, US citizen, I recognize my varying levels of privilege and welcome discussions about this in our space.
