Hi! My name is Kaci Tinsley, MA, LPC, and I first just want to thank you so much for checking out my website! I am a native Dallas resident who moved away for college and graduate school, only to move back just about as quickly as humanly possible, due to the fact that I love this city through and through. I attended Texas State University for my undergraduate degree in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology and followed that up with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Stephen F. Austin State University. Since you are reading this, you may be researching and looking around for a therapist who seems to have their practice together. Well, I happen to know what that search tends to feel like: scary, overwhelming, terrifying, more scariness, and the list goes on; however, it does not have to feel like that at all! In my opinion, therapy is about finding a counselor with whom you feel comfortable speaking about anything that comes to your mind without the fear of judgement or bias in any which way. Simply considering the thought of attending your very first session may have the tendency of bringing on some anxiety, with that said, my goal is to help you feel the closest to "at home" as possible, which is why I truly value the option of offering virtual sessions in addition to the usual in-person sessions. As for my integrative therapeutic style, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy mixed in with techniques, as well as interventions, brought in from various other therapeutic styles; I tailor each treatment plan according to the client's specific needs. I am more than happy to discuss any type of question and/or concerns you may have, so please feel free to reach out! Thank you so much for taking the time to read through my information and I hope that you have a wonderful rest of your day!
