Introduction

Hi there! I’m Kaci Pennington. I own and practice at The Pine Center in Charlotte, NC. The folks I work with are those who are struggling with feeling connected to themselves and others. Often my clients have difficulty being in the present moment, instead finding themselves lost inside their mind, imagination, or in the past or future. There's often a deep longing to be connected to others but feel as if there's something in the way. Sometimes my clients feel usure of or inconsistent in who they are, uncertain of what they want and have struggled to find happiness and contentment in life. For my clients, life can often feel blurry or fuzzy with difficulty remembering the recent or distant past. My approach is always tailored to the need of the client, we will work together to find what works for you. I use a variety of techniques & interventions in my work depending on your need. I show up in the therapy room authentically, as a person, just like you. I'll gently challenge you with new ways of thinking or viewing situations, emotions, or thoughts. I think we develop mental health challenges because of what we have experienced & learned throughout life in order to survive - & you're here today, so it has been working, but maybe it isn't working well anymore. I believe that everyone can change & grow at any time in their life. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity for healing & growth.
