My name is Greer (he/him/his) and I provide a dynamic range of psychotherapy services to a diverse group of individuals and their unique circumstances that are bringing them to counseling. I have 10 years of healthcare-based work history, with 8 of those years focused on emergency room psychiatry and case management services. I obtained my bachelor degree of art in psychology at Towson University (2017), and my master degree of science in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University (2021). I passed the national counselor exam and was awarded my LGPC licensure in January 2022. I have since been awarded my LCPC licensure as of January 2024. In my spare time, I enjoy giving my dog and cats love/attention, playing guitar/making music, going to concerts/festivals, and exploring new places to hike. My goal as a psychotherapist is to help you to achieve your goals, identify your needs, build effective coping skills, increase proficiency in communication and interpersonal relationships, and positively influence growth in many other facets of life that can prove to be challenging to people. While maintaining professional boundaries, I seek to have our sessions feel as though you are speaking with a close and trusted friend. I want you to feel heard, understood, and fully accepted within the client/therapist relationship dynamic. I offer generous sliding scale services for those that wish to pay self-pay (subject to evaluation to determine fee). I am currently in network with Carefirst Blue Cross of Maryland, Cigna, and Aetna. I am currently unable to accept Medicaid/Medicare clients, but am working on paneling for these insurances. I am also in the process of paneling with United Healthcare. If you have an insurance not listed above, please feel free to speak with me about what insurance provider you have and I will look into the credentialing process. Please be mindful that the credentialing process with insurances is not quick and can take anywhere from 1 month - up to longer than a year.
