I was born in Salinas and lived in California for the majority of my life. I am proud to have had the honor to serve in the military for five years. I attended California State University, Fresno, where I earned a BA in Psychology and a MS in Counseling. I have 16 years of experience providing psychotherapy in California's central valley. I have been licensed in California since 2012 and became licensed in Arizona in 2020. I am new to the Phoenix area and feel excited to start working with the community here as well. My theoretical approach to counseling is eclectic where I incorporate cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, and psychodynamic approaches to counseling. I have experience working with children, teens, as well as adults of all ages and love to utilize family and conjoint therapy whenever clinically appropriate. My passion is to see people transition into long-lasting changes that have a positive impact on their lives for years to come. I believe we each have within us the means to find solutions to our perceived problems. It is a pleasure to see the human heart and soul moved in order to bring about new growth and greater balance in one's life. My goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free environment for individuals and families to come and openly process their goals, problems, dreams, and struggles that they are wrestling with and seeking after.
