Julissa M. Pagán-Peña, PsyD is a bicultural and bilingual clinician who is passionate about serving people in different developmental stages who need guidance and support to find answers for their current struggles. She believes psychotherapy can help their clients to understand their behaviors, emotions, and their relationship with others and themselves. Dr. Pagán-Peña considers safety, acceptance, and compassion as the key elements within a therapeutic relationship for healing and change to occur. She also believes that healing occurs when people have reached a deeper understanding of how past and recent experiences have influenced their lives. Dr. Pagán-Peña specializes in working with children, adolescents, women, LGBTQ+ community, and Hispanic/Latino families. She provides therapeutic services in English and Spanish. Her areas of focus in therapy are sexual trauma, emotional and psychological abuse, relational trauma, grief and loss, depression and anxiety, non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI), acculturation and immigration issues, and ADHD.
