I offer a safe and nonjudgemental atmosphere in which to freely speak of your thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and experiences, with no topic off limits. In this space, I will listen and engage with curiosity, sensitivity, and a genuine desire to discover your complex inner world and unique lived experience. Together, we will work to uncover what hinders a deeper sense of joy and wellbeing, and I will help you to navigate and integrate whatever may emerge. Throughout this process, we will explore your personal history, paying particular attention to its reverberations into the present day. As you speak, I will listen closely for the unconscious and intervene to emphasize and reveal it. To facilitate this process, we will also investigate dreams/daydreams, word choice, and bungled speech or actions. At the core of this work is speaking what had been unthought, which often demands considerable courage and vulnerability, but through this process, individuals may find relief from suffering, enjoy greater freedom of being, connect more deeply with their unique and intrinsic nature, and undergo positive transformation that results in a revitalized sense of joy, wellbeing, peace, and inspiration. As a practitioner of psychoanalytic therapy, I work collaboratively with my clients to uncover the unconscious roots of their suffering and, in this way, facilitate its management, reduction, and release. With additional training in yoga, meditation, breathwork, and traditional Chinese medicine, I bring a holistic and integrative perspective. My approach is most heavily inspired by Lacanian psychoanalysis and yogic philosophy. I earned my bachelor's degree at Yale University and am a master's student at the Institute for Clinical Social Work. While I work with adults, late adolescents, and couples dealing with a wide variety of issues, I have a particular interest in working with people who are navigating existential questions around identity, meaning, and purpose or conflictual relationships with societal, cultural, sexual, and religious frameworks. I work with clients at a frequency of 1 to 3 sessions per week. If you are curious to learn more or are ready to begin this process, feel free to contact me or request an appointment.
