Introduction

We are all searching for something and we are all on a journey. Some of us are trying to make our way toward a more complete and genuine sense of self and identity. Many are struggling to find and utilize positive coping to deal with both our past challenges and potential future obstacles. Others of us are young, experiencing intense emotions, and do not know how to handle them. Some of us are parents who genuinely want to be more calm and peaceful around our kids. And there are also many of us who are facing big changes in our lives and are feeling unprepared for what we will find on the road ahead. I have been working as a licensed therapist for over 18 years assisting clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, transitioning to become their authentic selves, divorce, parenting struggles, stress & overwhelm, and difficulties with emotion regulation & social skills. I have passion for working with members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) community -- which began with an internship in 1993 and continues today. I am blessed with a queer/trans family member -- someone who has shared their experiences and added immeasurably to my training and experience when working the community. I have personal experience which compliments my professional training in helping kids, teens, parents, families, and individual adults from many different backgrounds. I believe that time & effort spent collaboratively in therapy may lead to improvements in sense of self, in relationships, & increasing harmony in our lives. I would be happy to partner with you in your efforts towards self- and family-improvement.
