Introduction

Julie Haran-Castaneda, MSW, JD, LCSW at Consejo, Inc. I am licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a background in treating children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I am also a licensed attorney with many years of experience as a working professional and mother. I obtained my MSW from Jane Addams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois with an additional certification in Evidence-Based Practices. My therapeutic style is solution oriented and utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy, strengths-based strategies, and psychodynamic approaches. These approaches along with a concentration on holistic methods will be incorporated into sessions to meet your multidimensional needs. I will assist you in exploring different perspectives, gaining personal insight, developing problem solving skills, and improving your daily functioning. With some time and patience, this will lead to overall stress reduction and an ability to prioritize self-care. My areas of focus include work with professionals, divorcees, and parents and those who are emotional trauma survivors. I consider myself to be a clinician who truly understands the need for life balance, unconditional support, and utmost discretion. Using empathy as well as my own life experience, I believe we can work together to successfully change or accomplish whatever it is that you desire.
