Introduction

Hey there, I’m Julie! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in Marin County, CA. I specialize in working with teens, adults, and families. I received my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s College of California and my Bachelor's Degree in Women's Studies & Psychology from the University of California, Riverside. Before working in private practice I worked with school-based children, teens, and foster youth who struggled with a variety of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsion disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I have also worked at the Crisis Stabilization Unit and I’m well versed in trauma and crisis intervention. Currently, I work with adults who suffer from severe persistent mental illness and substance abuse issues in an outpatient clinic. My foundational approach is integrative therapy and client-centered therapy but I also incorporate the following modalities: cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, strength-based therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I tailor my treatment based on what each client needs. I strive to provide a warm, supportive, and safe therapeutic environment for each client and family. I work collaboratively with each client to explore, empower, and enhance their quality of life. I would be honored to help you with your journey to healing and growth.
