I love to hear the stories of other people. Sometimes, our stories are painful, and we may feel stuck, or need to make a change because the way things have been going is no longer working for us. Sometimes, we need to learn new narratives about ourselves, and stuffing our thoughts and emotions leaves us feeling sad, depressed, anxious, afraid, or feeling physically ill. Other times, we need support as we navigate difficult situations (COVID-19) such as a health crisis, the death of a loved one, or working with relationships that challenge us. I work to foster a collaborative relationship where therapy is tailored to the client, and we work together to both identify the issues, and set goals. Moreover, I do not believe that there is a one size fits all approach to therapy and utilize various modalities in my work with clients. "It is an absolute human certainty that no one can know his (her) own beauty or perceive a sense of his (her) own worth until it has been reflected back to him (her) in the mirror of another loving, caring human being." (John Joseph Powell). It is my goal to create a safe place where rapport and trust can be established, in a non-judgmental atmosphere.
