Introduction

I have had the pleasures of working in different areas of the mental health field including domestic violence, sexual assault, drug and alcohol, and LGBTQIA+. I have been drawn to work with teens and young adults who deal with symptoms of Chronic Illnesses, Bipolar, Borderline Personality Disorder, Addiction, Anxiety, and Depression. I use Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). This is an action-oriented where individuals learn to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with their inner emotions. They accept that these deeper feelings are natural responses to certain situations that should not prevent them from moving.
