Introduction

Being a parent is HARD. WORK. But, you see nothing but perfect lives on Instagram. Earth-tone dressed kids in pumpkin patches, professionally decorated homes, international family vacations. How is that possible? You were already struggling but now you feel downright crazy that this isn't you. You're not sure what you're supposed to think, but you do know the demands are more than ever. Work, appointments, sicknesses, school, sports, activities, trying to see family and friends. You're drowning in stress, but you don't want to say anything because you feel guilty for not being happy about having the life most people want. You are not alone. I promise you. You want to be the best mom and partner while still being your own person. You want to practice self-care if you even remembered how. You want to know going on a long walk by yourself isn't going to be the reason your child doesn't get into Harvard. You don't just want balance in your life. You NEED it. And you are allowed to have it. Still not sold? How about this: when you reduce your stress your kids feel all the positive benefits. If you've been worried about your child's stress and anxiety, finding the right support for you will significantly benefit their mental health too! It's a two-for-one counseling deal. You know we all love a sale. I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and a real-life mom. Before private practice, I spent 7 years working as a school-based therapist and saw first hand how the stress of trying to balance day-to-day life impacts every part of a family's world. I'd love to help you bring back that balance. Simply email me at julianna@circlebackcounseling.com to set up a consultation for free. But, most importantly, remember: for every picture of a perfectly outfitted child in an apple orchard, there are 10 more on the floor crying because you forgot it was their stuffed animal's birthday. You are doing great. I promise.
