Introduction

Hi there! Congratulations on taking your first step! This world is hard but we don’t have to manage alone! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist and have been practicing for 8 years. I live in upstate New York and love spending time outside with my daughter, husband and puppy. I work to build strong relationships with my clients, to ensure they are receiving the care they need. I am dedicated and motivated to help you and will work as hard or long is needed to ensure you feel your best. I specialize in helping children, young adults, and couples through life transitions that can bring on anxiety, trauma and depression. I also work with new parents through the dynamics of parenthood, as well as can provide support with loss and trauma. I work from two therapeutic approaches, including attachment based theory and Cognitive behavioral therapy. I use attachment theory to better understand you, including your childhood, family relations and support. I then utilize interventions from CBT, to help create change. Additional interventions used include aspects of mindfullness and solution based theory. I prefer to be direct in my communication as well as overt, in order to create comfort and trust.
