My love affair with movement began in college when I discovered running as a way to get together with friends and spend uninterrupted time conversing. Being outside and having meaningful conversations with others became my own form of therapy and the part of my day I looked most forward to. After suffering with my own anxiety and eating disorder, I began to correlate nature with peace and calm—my very own sanctuary. I decided to pursue my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University knowing I wanted to marry movement and talk therapy. I find (and so does science) that just by getting up and moving, a person’s mood changes and they become more present, alert, and relaxed. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I want to walk with you as you navigate through life’s ups and downs— particularly if you are struggling with disordered eating, body image, self esteem, or anxiety. I work with mostly women ages 15-75, helping them delve deep into past or present issues in order to live a full, present life full of possibility. I approach disordered eating from a Cognitive Behavioral perspective, and incorporate intuitive eating, mindfulness, and the Health At Every Size paradigm. As a native to the Los Angeles area, I am pleased to offer my services to the community that helped shape and form me. When I’m not walking and talking you can find me teaching Pilates, hiking, running, and playing with my puppy.
