I have a M.A. in Professional Counseling and a B.S. in Psychology. I've received training in EMDR and mindfulness. Over the last twelve years I’ve worked in the mental health field while in a variety of settings. Including a non-profit agency, university setting, drug & alcohol center, private practice, group practice, research lab, and psychiatric hospital. These settings showed how mental health impacts people with various backgrounds and identities. My approach is relational, strengths based, and incorporates mindfulness and EMDR. I believe providing a safe environment and building trust can lead to positive change. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental environment where anyone is welcome to freely express their thoughts and feelings. Every client’s situation is unique, and my aim is to meet clients where they’re at through a variety of therapeutic techniques. I believe in empowering clients to make their own choices and decide how they want their lives to look. Although therapy can be challenging and draining, I am here to work alongside you as an equal partner and team member; whether this is your first-time in therapy or you’re in a place in which a little help and support is needed. Together, we will work towards discovering the strengths to face life’s challenges.
