Jordan Mueller (she/her) is a clinician at Konick and Associates who provides counseling services and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and young adults. She received a master’s of science degree in clinical psychology from Benedictine University with a specialty for children and adolescents and a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology from Webster University in St. Louis. She works with a wide range of client populations, including children three years old and up, adolescents, young adults, and families, with concentrations in the following: ● Anxiety ● Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) ● ADHD ● Behavioral Concerns ● Coping Skills ● Depression ● Dual Diagnosis ● LGBTQ+ Identities ● Life Transitions ● Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) ● Peer Relationships ● Self Esteem ● Stress Jordan is a creative, empathetic, and a supportive therapist. Jordan has a base in client-centered therapy but uses an eclectic approach to suit the needs of her clients. Jordan works to build rapport with her clients and their families. Jordan combines research based methods with psychoeducation to assist her in the therapeutic process. Jordan enjoys working with her clients and their families to make sure everyone has a voice throughout treatment. During her masters program Jordan focused on human development, play therapy, counseling LGBTQ+ identities, art therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other topics related to psychotherapy. Jordan enjoys combining different therapeutic modalities to best fit her clients. Jordan has worked at Little friends, a school for autism and behavior disorders, which has helped her grow as a clinician. Working at Little Friends required her to assist in a range of classrooms from verbal to non-verbal, with a wide array of abilities. Jordan grew up in Naperville, Illinois, and has lived in the area for most of her life. While in college, she took courses that have enabled her to take a well-rounded approach in her clinical practice, including approaches to treating people with autism, and she has worked with Afghan refugee women and children to assist diverse populations better. Jordan also served as a peer leader for students with disabilities and she spent three semesters with students with autism, down syndrome, and other similar disabilities. In addition, Jordan served as a teacher’s assistant in a classroom aiding autistic children and as an inclusion aide at a summer camp for children on the autism spectrum. Jordan is excited to learn and grow professionally through her work at Konick and Associates.
