Hi! I'm Joni (she/her) and I am glad you're here. I like to focus on endorphins (what makes you feel good) and empathy (connecting, and honoring your whole story). Rarely in life do we get to spend an hour with someone who gives us their complete, undivided attention. That’s one of the things that makes therapy so special. Our hour together is whatever you need it to be (whether that’s a break, a space to vent, a look in the mirror, or some tough love, but always with someone who cares unconditionally). Think of this as “you time”— that doesn’t mean it’s always easy or that it won’t be work, but the goal is for you to feel better when you walk out than when you walked in. Therapy with me will be fun, engaging, eye opening, perspective-changing, hopeful, supportive, and real. With me, you can be your whole-ass authentic self. We might cry but we’ll definitely laugh. I know that getting started can be overwhelming or even scary, but I will meet you where you are. That’s part of my person-centered approach. I want to help you get to a place where you accept all the parts of your story and yourself—trust that I already do.
