Introduction

Jolia Alexander is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has been practicing for over 4 years. Jolia earned her Master of Education in Marriage and Family Counseling and her Specialist in Education in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. Jolia provides therapy services for individuals, couples, and families. Her years of experience prepared her to serve clients from various backgrounds who need support with anxiety, depression, stress, developing healthier relationships, healing trauma, and career readiness. Being raised in a divorced home has contributed to Jolia upholding effective communication as a foundational need for a successful relationship. Jolia utilizes this foundation to build rapport with clients and to create a non-judgmental space to meet clients where they are. She uses an integrative approach and different therapeutic modalities to best serve clients. These modalities include but are not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). Jolia is also specialized as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). We are all on a journey that has its own unique needs that sometimes leaves us confused on how to navigate it. Therapy is a place where you’re provided with a hands-on approach, where I utilize activities and techniques that are personally paired to support you on overcoming your circumstances. Jolia offers a space where you can feel safe to express your raw thoughts and feelings. Your sessions will be based on creating a collaborative relationship so you can master the goals that you set.
