Introduction

Hello! My name is John Vargas (he/him/él) and I provide 100% online therapy via video anywhere in California! I use a person-centered, culturally and LGBTQIA+ affirming, and mindfulness-based approach in my work with individuals (teens and young adults). I use various evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment-focused Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I specialize in working with teens and young adults' mental health (more specifically, young men, the Latino/e/x community, and the LGBTQIA+ community). I acknowledge the life stressors and barriers (individual and systemic) clients go through and their immediate needs. I prioritize creating an environment where you can express your true authentic self and feelings. I'm committed that you feel heard, respected, and safe in your therapeutic space. Reach out or schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation! I'm a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT#139997) and a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC#14046), supervised by J’Quaysha Tucker, LMFT #110419, LPCC #8968 & Jack May, LMFT #94423
