I understand firsthand what it feels like to be in therapy. Over a decade ago, I spent two years in therapy, navigating challenges such as severe anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and the complexities of identity development. During that time, I found myself in a place where I had to not only rebuild my life but also, in many ways, rewrite my own story. Those two years were incredibly transformative and played a significant role in inspiring me to return to school and pursue a career in counseling. For the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of working with families and teens through individual, group, and family therapy. Every time I sit down with a client and hear their story, I feel deeply honored to be trusted with such a vulnerable part of their life. To me, counseling is not just about problem-solving; it’s a unique relationship where stories are shared, hearts begin to heal, and freedom is gently uncovered. Outside of therapy, I find peace and joy in the simple things—like a thoughtful game of chess paired with a cup of dark coffee on a cool morning. I love indulging in chocolate, pecan pie, and sweet tea, and some of my favorite bands include U2 and Mumford and Sons. I’m deeply inspired by creativity, whether it’s found in books, art, or simply being surrounded by nature in a hammock. All these things fuel my spirit and remind me of the beauty and depth in both life and the work I do.
