Introduction

Introduce yourself to prospective clients. We suggest adding how you got started, any treatment or client specializations, and how your services can provide a meaningful impact to clients. I’m John Murphy, a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) from Siler City, North Carolina. I started my counseling work with numerous paraprofessional positions in the behavioral health industry for minors, and I’ve learned quite a bit about the challenges children and teens face, and the struggles of their parents and caregivers raising them. I want to help families and caregivers understand their young people on a clinical and developmental level, and create new approaches for responding to their behaviors. Since we can’t change what’s normal, we can learn to understand it and respond to it better so that everyone’s needs are met and parents are less burnt out.
