As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have a passion for meeting people where they are at and supporting them to emerge stronger and more resilient as a result of whatever hardship they are facing. I believe strongly that it is through adversity that we come to know ourselves; however, and more importantly, it is through healing from our adversity that we are able to truly grow. Over the course of my career I have served in a variety of capacities and settings, including supervising and training Master's and Doctoral level therapists in community based treatment facilities, and running a successful Intensive Outpatient (IOP) group therapy program. Most recently, I have served as Executive Director for a large treatment facility in the greater Philadelphia region. I now enjoy working in private practice where I work collaboratively with clients in treating depression (including "treatment-resistant depression"), anxiety, and substance use disorders. Other specialities include working with men and the development of holistic health and wellness practices. When appropriate, I am interested helping clients to develop spiritual practices that can help support their life goals. All of my work is trauma-informed. I obtained my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern University, where I also obtained an undergraduate degree in Theological Studies. More recently, I completed a post-graduate training program in Gestalt Therapy with the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Philadelphia. I truly enjoy what I do, and consider it a privilege to work with clients in therapy.
