Introduction

I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. My practice is located in Wilton Manors, Florida, part of the Fort Lauderdale area.I am also certified as an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist through the Wellness Institute. I have a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Nova Southeastern University, and a doctorate in adult education from Florida International University. Why do people seek therapy? We may have problems that we’ve been avoiding. We may feel uncomfortable looking at certain issues. We have goals that seem out of reach. We may feel anxious, stuck, unhappy, unfulfilled, and not be sure why or know what to do about it. Or things may be seem to be going pretty well, but we realize that they could be even better! Through psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, we can access the strong, wise, and compassionate person within each of us. Sometimes we may not be aware of this strong part of ourselves. We may instead view ourselves through a lens of insecurity, self-criticism, shame, and fear, developed earlier in our lives through distorted self-beliefs and maladaptive behaviors. Psychotherapy and hypnotherapy can help us to recognize, with clarity and honesty, our outdated beliefs and behaviors and negative emotional patterns, often with physical manifestations, that no longer serve us. We can identify, develop, and strengthen new healthy conclusions about ourselves and resulting new ways of living. Through these transformations, we are empowered to lead the happy, fulfilling, relationship-enriched lives we deserve.
