John Beralas
Introduction
I was born and raised on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. This is where I developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures with Hawaii being the melting pot for cultures. My passion lies in working with teens and adolescents, helping them navigate the challenges of growing up in today's face-paced world. As someone who has been working with teens for over 9 years, I possess a unique gift of being able to connect with teens and adolescents on their level. I believe that being able to relate and connect with the client is by far the most valuable skill a therapist can possess. To be effective in my job, I use a fascinating trauma informed intervention called Brainspotting. A technique that facilitates the brain's ability to process at deeper levels thus promoting healing as well as, prompting mind and body regulation. I also love using Christian counseling to help my clients experience joy, peace, and a deeper relationship with God. My passion in life is to go above and beyond, to connect with you on levels that you never thought were possible and to help you experience true joy, peace, and healing.
