Introduction

After volunteering with AmeriCorps, City Year, in 2015, I wanted to work in the mental health field. Since 2021 I have worked in psychiatric hospital settings, intensive community settings, and therapy centers. I take a holistic approach to mental health and understand that many factors affect our functioning as human beings like sleep, exercise, sunshine, nutrition, our spiritual life and more. Not only do we examine our thoughts and discover ways to change them, along with our daily habits, we also explore other factors that affect how we feel. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work from Wayne State and was previously a certified personal trainer through NASM. If you are comfortable and of similar faith, I integrate Christian principles and faith into treatment as I do believe Jesus is the true healer in our world. As God designed, each person is unique! So we will tailor treatment towards your goals and needs in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere that encourages acceptance, healing, and positive change.
