Specialties: Adoption, Attachment Issues, Transgender Issues, LGBTQIA+, Parenting,

Introduction

My professional interests include psychotherapy with parent-child dyads, children, teens, families, and individual adults using an attachment-focused approach. I have experience and interest in working with families impacted by attachment disruption, adoption, foster care, trauma, and LGBTQ issues. With over 30 years of experience, I bring compassion, humor, and creativity to my work with families. I have worked as a School Psychologist for the Howard County Public School System, provided parent consultation for families, and facilitated workshops for families throughout the United States, Canada, and in South Africa. I have received training in Theraplay®, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), play therapy, Relationship Development Intervention (RDI®), and trauma-focused play-based interventions. I am also a certified Theraplay® Practitioner and a Registered Circle of Security Parent Educator.
