I approach therapy as a collaborative process, and actively partner with my clients to develop meaningful goals. Typically, I see adults who are going through major life transitions or experiencing anxiety, depression, or traumatic stress. I also specialize in supporting adults with ADHD, particularly women who have been recently diagnosed or wish to better understand ADHD. I strive to create a safe and trusting space where my clients can share difficult truths or "messes" and increase self-compassion. I have a Master's in Social Work from the University of Washington and have been a clinical social worker since graduating in 2004. The majority of my experience and training was at UW and Harborview where I learned therapeutic approaches that are empirically based and effective. I began private practice in 2018 and find this work immensely fulfilling. Throughout my career, I have worked with people of diverse backgrounds. My values and practices draw from these experiences and are grounded in racial justice and LGBTQ+ allyship. When I’m not working, I'm walking in my Seattle neighborhood looking for sun breaks, listening to and discovering music, eating good food (food is life), seeing movies in the remaining small theaters, and reading books (often not finishing them). I deeply value the relationships in my life. I'm also the parent of a teenager, which is very rewarding and humbling. “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” - Maya Angelou
