Introduction

I’m Joan L. Scanlan, LCSW. I specialize in treating people with anxiety and depression, including those who have traumatic history and therefore traumatic memories. My practice is based in neuroscience and the information about the brain comes in daily. I am a certified hypnotherapist and I use a process called Memory Reconsolidation to deal with traumatic memories. I also take adolescents and adults who have exhibited sexual misbehaviour and are thus involved with the criminal justice system.
